I am an Associate Professor at University of Hawaii at Mānoa in the Department of Information and Computer Sciences. My research focuses on machine learning and artificial intelligence, and I collaborate broadly with researchers in the natural sciences. I also co-direct the Medical AI core as part of the Pacific Center for AI and Data Science in Medicine.

Teaching
I regularly teach machine learning courses. Non-CS students are welcome to audit or take them for credit. I also run an AI seminar that is open to all interested students and faculty.
